The Opportunity 

We have an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation in the role of Grants Officer. This position will proactively explore funding opportunities, write grant applications, and manage grant funded projects within the organisation.

This opportunity is a permanent part time role of 2 days per week. We are flexible with what days work for you. We are currently based in Cardiff, however are moving to our bright new office in Warabrook in late August.

In this role, you will be:

  • Developing the Grants roadmap for the organisation
  • Researching and identifying key funding opportunities to support the organisation
  • Write, submit, and follow up on grant applications. This will include monitoring and providing regular reporting.
  • Manage the budget and monitor project performance for grant funding, with support of internal stakeholders.
  • Develop key relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support with other professional writing as required within the team

What we are looking for

To be successful in the role, the following will be required;

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in commerce, business, policy and/or other relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end grant application process, with understanding of best practice writing and presentation. Technical writing experience in policy, procedure and tenders will be highly regarded.
  • Outstanding communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to form, maintain and participate in appropriate networks, both internally and externally.
  • Excellent attention to detail in all elements of work
  • Ability to prioritise, organise and complete work within established deadlines
  • Proficient in the use of information technology, including Microsoft Office suite
  • Willingness to undertake a National Police Check
  • Current Working with Children’s Check
  • Experience in the community services sector with an understanding of relevant legislation is highly desirable.
